![]() How welcoming.Īs we made our way to the northern most locale of Auroria, we found it largely empty and still in a beta state with no NPCs, unlike the undead infested southern provinces. Our first sight of land on the far shore a giant volcano there to greet us. Here is a shot of us making our way out of Growlgate to head to Auroria aboard the blessed Bow Movement, having successfully acquired the goods. Thankfully the resurrection area for our faction there was well guarded. This was from when we were leaving Freedich our clipper got away but sadly I did not. ![]() :PĮdit- I was also tooling around with a Merchwater crest idea, You could, conceivably, run in to a situation where you bushwhack someone, take their goods, and then get ambushed yourself down the road. Keep in mind, those trade packs are only worth something if you deliver the goods. Having guildies to protect you or hiring some mercs would be a smart move, likewise with the sea routes. The second most valuable trade packs will require the bearer to travel through those zones (probably with a wagon). Plus, chances may be high they had rare goods to trade, which would be even more worth it.Īnd to go back to those danger zones again. I'm not sure if all trade packs are worth Gilda, but I do know that crossing the sea and delivering trade packs is worth a lot of Gilda. And that currency is what drives everything. ![]() People have to manually fire each cannon while someone else steers and having someone in the crows nest gives you "radar".Īttacking merchant ships and taking their trade packs would be a big deal since, if they're on the open ocean, those trade packs are probably worth Gilda. Ships actually have to be crewed by the by. But hey, if you're in a naval battle against an enemy guild, commandeering one of their own ships would be a pretty sizable coup. However captured ships will despawn after like 15-20 mins (or something like that). You can attack other ships, steal their trade packs, or straight up take their ship. If that is the case then during that time their own Guard Tower is very vulnerable until they get the castle up. Since the attackers objective is to destroy your Guard Tower, it'd make sense to me that they'd have to build their own along with a new castle. You build the castle around the Guard Tower to defend it. I know to control land you need to build the Guard Tower, which is what actually gives you control. I think they destroy it and have a chance to build their own. If your place gets evicted thanks to a change of Lordship your house and stuff gets mailed to you, so all you loose is just your spot.Ĭastles are modular and can be designed however you choose.Īlso, I'm not positive, but I don't think if the attackers win they straight up get your castle. You could, if you wanted, let just about anyone (guildie or not) live there and collect the money. The controlling guild can set who can settle the land. Whoever controls the territory also collects all the taxes from the buildings located in it. In the end, victory for the attackers means that they now control the Guard Tower and surrounding land, while victory for the defenders means they get a special form of currency, Coins of the Lord.īuilding a Castle will open up more housing plots that would otherwise be inaccessible and you'll unlock new resources for the area. The main goal of the attackers is to breach the walls and destroy the Guard Tower inside.ĭefenders on the walls can activate fixed cannons using a Blood Archeum Crystal while the attackers can bring Siege Weapons to try and destroy the castle walls or scale the castle walls. However, the defending guild is able to bring in 30 other players as mercenaries, and the attacking guild is able to bring in another 30 members to match, making the largest possible total 100 v 100. These battles are 70 v 70 at the max for guild members. The guild with the highest bid gets the right to attack your castle. In order to attack your castle, guilds must bid on the right to attack. Once a week on Saturdays, Guilds are able to besiege your castle in an attempt to take control.
